Costco Kirkland Hearing Aids - Mine Are Duds

by John
(Bourbonnais Il)

I got my Kirkland hearing aids and am not happy. I am still asking people to repeat themselves. Things sound tinny and speech is muffled.

I called and left 3 voice mails and am still waiting to for a call back. I'd say if they ain't right the first time, just take them back and move on.

And, for what it's worth, I can find everything I see at Costco for less $ elsewhere. I don't need a room full of bulk quantity items as well.

Not acceptable results with Costco hearing aids
by: Ken B. Kona Hawaii

I have not been happy with my Costco hearing aid since day one! I have been back at least a dozen times and have now had 3 hearing tests.

All resulted in changes in the "programming". The hearing results have changed each time, but not to anything close to satisfactory. Brad seem very knowledgeable and sympathetic, but I still am not even close to happy.

The last "adjustment" made things worse, not better! I'm ready to take them back! The quality of my life has NOT improved! I keep asking to have the "High Pitch" reduced and the "Lows" increased, like you do on a Sound System, but all I get is what I am given. I'm about 8 months into them, but keep being told I need to be patient.

Well I'm all out of patience! I realize it could be the type of hearing loss I have, but if what you have to offer does not work, they should take them beck, or change to a different model! I see myself walking in the door and leaving them on the counter and walking out! This may be a "test" for Costco's return policy!

8 years latter still no charge Thanks
by: Leaping Lanny

I purchased a pair of Rexton Cobalt hearing aids online, not from Costco. Brought them into Costco told them the story and they programmed them for me without a charge and they worked perfectly.

He told me since they sell that brand they felt they should program them anyway. I offered to pay but no. They also gave me free batteries and domes that fit me, all for no cost.

Yes Costco your still the ONE. Best department store in the history of department stores. Thanks again. You saved me soon much money. Just when I was having financial issues.

Test run on Kirkland 5
by: Anonymous

One week into my purchase. After one day I called Costco to make some adjustments because I was not satisfied with the settings. I had to wait 5 days to get in to see the audiologist. Thank goodness they did not take me in sooner. Bottom line is don't jump to conclusions until you give them a good trial. I'm getting adjusted to the new sounds. So far so good!

Call Costco Hearing Aid Department
by: Anonymous

Give them a call. When I called the district office regarding the issues I was having with my hearing aids it was like having a general call a private. Within a few minutes I got a call from Costco within a hour that everything would be taken care of.

The store called the next day and I had an appointment the following day for the hearing specialist to look at my hearing aids. They took care of everything at no charge. YEA Costco. Great place to do business with.

Costco Hearing Aid Center

No, I'm on disability. This Costco was the closest to me, 45 min drive each way. The others stores are much further. I wish I could find hearing aids closer.

Try another costco
by: Anonymous

Wow...do you work for one of the big hearing centres? On other forums and reviews the K5.0 have been positively reviewed with good service. The person I dealt with was pleasant and professional.

No problems with call backs and appointments. My first visit was to a well known hearing centre and after my test they hooked me up with $6400 hearing aids on trial.

Supposedly similar hearing aids made by the same company are $2700 at Costco. If you are having trouble with a particular Costco find another one. We have several in our city.
