Disappointment with Beltone Hearing Aids
A long year of disappointment and a waste of $3000
First I’ll say, the staff at Beltone, couldn’t be nicer. BUT!
I selected the in the ear canal hearing aids. They have been squealing with feedback since I got them. Many trips back to Beltone and many failed fixes, none of which lasted more than two weeks. The improvement in word recognition never materialized.
Now 14 months later, hearing aids out of warranty, both microphone guards have fallen off, one has failed to work completely, and the other is very weak. I don't believe paying to have them fixed is worth it.
If you go to Belltone, I recommend:
1. If you aren't completely satisfied after the 30 day trial period. RETURN THEM! Do not buy, "you have to get used to them" or we can send them back and get the feedback fixed.
2. If you still have them and there is still a feedback problem, take them up on changing to another style.
3. If the promised better understanding of word, not just everything is louder, is not working for you, return them in the first 30 days.
