Rexton Hearing Aid from COSTCO

by Richard
(Greensboro, NC)

A first time user and didn't know what to expect. Have been back for reprogramming and adjustment several times. Very disappointed.

I Cannot hear if the person or sound is beside me. works best if facing the sound and you can read lips. Actually had to purchase TV Ears to enjoy TV at a distance of six feet from the TV. In church or other settings usually get only a portion of the conversation.

I've had it for about two years and really disappointed. for the price I thought they would be better.

Rexton hearing aids NEW
by: Rickus

I have tried 4 different hearing aids this year from Costco.
I have returned 3 to try something else but they still buzz and sound tinny. I decided that the buzzing was actually a problem in my hearing. The hearing aids actually make the buzzing in my ears worse, especially when it is noisy, singing or listening to music. Costco has been very good about exchanging them.
You would probably want to have any hearing aids adjusted
At least a couple of times at Costco to customize them to your hearing. You should take them back to Costco. You have 6 months to return or exchange them for another brand. If they did not tell you about the 6 months you could make the argument that they should help you with an exchange anyway.
As for me, I am going to an ENT doctor to address my internal buzzing, otherwise I have to take them out half the time which is really a waste of money. Good luck.

disappointed NEW
by: Margaret Stauffer

I am disappointed with the programs on my Rexton hearing aids. I have loud sounds when in a busy room with people talking. It's almost unbearable. It's best when in an audience and a speaker is talking from the podium. But there are so many interferences. Music sounds tinny when the car radio is playing. Is this normal

Hearing Aids Are Difficult to Understand
by: Anonymous

I think it has very little to do with the price and a lot to do about your hearing.

It is very difficult to figure out what hearing aids do and what the price means as it is such a hidden product.

Too bad you did not get a refund and try another brand to see what the problem is.

If you have Medicare you could go to a Hearing specialist with your hearing aid and try to get an opinion on your hearing.

Do you have a severe hearing loss???
